Community UMC hosts several religious and area organizations:
Church Women United (CWU) is a racially, culturally, theologically inclusive Christian women’s movement, celebrating unity in diversity and working for a world of peace and justice. They meet monthly at Community on the fourth Tuesday at 1:00 pm. Click for more information.
The Embroiders' Guild Dayton Chapter, Day Group meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 10:00 a.m. The members embroider items for personal use and help others learn. One member embroiders items for an organization that supports the Children's Medical Center.
Basket Weavers meet monthly at 6:00 pm on the first Monday.
We Serve
Community joined with other churches in the area to tutor children at Kemp School, for grades one through eight.
This is a wonderful opportunity to help children improve their scholastic standing, and quietly witness to the love of Christ.
